While Joel sleeps, I sit and sweat, wondering whether he'll be the genius who drags my CTR for Chitkia out of the basement for me.

I'll be knocking on that door around 1pm ET today, pal. I hope it's good! :D

Or maybe around 2pm, after Days of Our Lives. Gotta keep my priorities in order, now... :eek:

c-OK, you go for 2pm EST. I'm going for noon, CST. I want to be one of the 250 to get one of the bonus audio books. I like to listen to those while I drive.

I think I'll check at 11am CST -- it's 9:35 right now (7:35 PST) and the countdown says 1 hour and 25 minutes! Looks like someone's clock is still set to Daylight Saving Time.

a.k.a. 12:17 CST.

I hit the site right at 12:00 CST, did a few refreshes and watched the clock go into negative time, before the website actually returned the page.

I puzzled over buying the audio cd for a while and finally decided yes. Of course, I was early enough I qualified as one of the first 100 to get a downloadable mp3.

I've only listened to it 4 times so far.

By the way, Days of our Lives hasn't been the same since the old Roman left. On the other hand, Marlena still looks good! We watched it every day in the early 80's on video tape.

I remember Marlena getting strangled by the serial killer. There was such an uproar that a couple weeks later, we were introduced to the "fact" that Marlena had an identical twin.
