In Joel's Chitika Secrets eBook, Section 4.2 is states "monitor your stats to find out how much that ad pays"....
How do you do that unless you get clicks on the ads from others? Clicking your own ads is a no-no, yes?

How do you do that unless you get clicks on the ads from others? Clicking your own ads is a no-no, yes?Set channel identifiers.
Example:
ch_sid = "this_is_my_dell_9300_ad";
The sid can be up to 64 characters. Recall also that Joel talked about specifying the individual ad
ch_query = "Dell 9300";
That way, you can match them up. Of course, it takes a lot of traffic fast to be able to diagnose values. I don't get enough traffic (yeah, that's what everyone says, but it's true).

Hi Terry. Thanks for the reply. I do have channels setup but in order for me to know what an ad 'pays per click' someone has to click on them, yes? Or am I missing something?

Hi Joel
I am looking at a chitika add - it happens to be for a digital camera. Walmart is the featured store with a price of $797.44 - if you look at the best deals tag you see that there is another vendor that has the same thing for $670.00.
Do you know if the featured store pays a higher click for this designation? Do you know if there is any chitika code addon for only showing the featured store in the best deals if it does pay a higher click - I know there is some additional code changes/flexibility with chitika -vs- adsense?
thanks
