Had a telephone call with kontera yesterday (imagine doing THAT with adsense)Asked a load of questions and got this back:
Span tags - You can direct us to place AdLinks on specific areas on your page by utilizing what we call “span tags”. The span tags mark areas of text with begin and end tags so that AdLinks will only appear in those areas.
Example:

AdLinks colors – Colors values can be either hexadecimal or HTML-safe color words. For a list of these color words take a look at http://www.professorf.com/colors.aspx.
Our best performing topics - domains in which historically we have brought most value are the following:
o Computing and Internet
o Employment
o Health
o Automotives
o Electronics
A specific topic can be ‘hot’ one day and forgotten the other day. Our system is dynamic and we can work with any web content.
I actually showed them one of my sites and they were more than happy with it ( a blog with rss2blog (http://tinyurl.com/ca93k ) going into it)
You can also draw the attention of readers to the fact that rolling mouse over the ads reveals more information! = the holy grail for us!
If you have content sites / article directories I suggest you sign up (http://www.adsense-secrets.com/kontera.html).
Don't worry about the requirement for 150 k traffic ..just tell them you are building a lot of webpages and traffic is increasing.
