The Problem with AdSense

So, you've got a great web site with lots of hits, and you want to cash in on the Google AdSense gold rush - you know, put pay-per-click ads on your pages and watch the pennies add up!

But - what happens after the ad click? Your visitor has left your site to look at the site that paid for the ad!

If they already clicked on one ad, they would probably click on another... so how can you get them to come back to your site?

Do you really think everyone bookmarks your page? Or remembers how they found your site?

Magic Return will bring them back to your web site.

What is Magic Return?

Magic Return is a JavaScript function developed to provide a way back to your web page -- so you get more clicks!

It opens a small popup when the ad is clicked.
The popup has a link back to your site.

Magic Return minimizes itself discreetly, so the viewer can look at the linked page.

Periodically, Magic Return reminds the viewer that return to your site is possible. It works even if several links/pages are followed.

Right now, I'm doing custom installs, for a reasonable fee - the code is is free open source software distributed under the terms of the GNU Public License

Great... except running a pop up will get you banned from AdSense for sure..

Instead of coming up with all these appliances, why don't people just focus on building quality sites with good content..

Earth to webmaster - People WILL eventually leave your site to go to another. You can't hold them captive.

Your demo site is likely to get your AdSense account terminated for three reasons:

1. Geocities puts Yahoo ads on the same page as your AdSense ads.

2. Your demo requires that your visitors click on an AdSense ad.

3. You have text enticing visitors to click on your AdSense Signup and FireFox Download buttons.

People have lost their AdSense account (and losing your account is almost always a lifetime thing) for doing just one of these things. Having all three there is basically like waving a "BAN ME FOR LIFE" flag in front of Google. Maybe Yahoo, too.

I recommend that you take this page down immediately to avoid being banned. Once you've done that, move to a real hosting provider that doesn't insert their own ads on your pages and come up with some way to demo your product that doesn't involve people having to click on an AdSense ad.
