As a non-tech web builder I like the easy way of generating many - for keyword - relevant web pages for my sleeping domains (listed for myself at Jubiii.com ) and I have started up using Cash Page Builder (CPB) as one of my tools to achieve that.
But I don’t like the concept of scraper sites without any relevant information for the visitor. So here is what I try to do to compensate for this dilemma from my previous experience:
If first we look at the basic content generated with CPB.
Many of the auto-generated links aren’t relevant for the actual keywords. The keywords are there, but they might be linked to completely other areas. E.g. I have started populating my Bird site Find Birds http://www.FindBirds.com and used the default setting of CPB to include 15 external link resources.
For the keyword ‘Bird of prey’ only 2 of the generated 15 external links were relevant. Other links referred to a new jet plane, songs, fiction books and plays. The remaining 2 are shown here: http://www.findbirds.com/bird-of-prey.html If you turn to other pages of http://www.FindBirds.com be aware that they are still ‘raw’ outputs from CPB.
In my opinion the least we can do for our coming visitors is to weed out the irrelevant web pages included in these external resources, and I am sure that will benefit us in the long run, too.
In the future I will ask for having more than the default 15 links included, e.g. 25 links and then do a manual weeding out of the irrelevant links, and may be reduce the no of links to just around 15 even if I then have to delete relevant links in some cases.
What is your experience?
As a compensation in the actual case with birds of prey I have included some – very relevant – descriptions of bird books, and they made me add ‘raptors’ as a keyword in the title etc. I expect that to be a good idea.
Another quite easy idea is to include at least one special and relevant picture on each page. I haven’t done that yet, but that is easy for me as a stock photographer and I am sure that will help to give a more unique look of each webpage.
Finally I have a *Question* more:
CPB is turning all keywords from plural into singular form. Is that a good idea or should we compensate manually in some way?
(Sorry to write so long)
Hope for some help!
