Has anyone seen any evidence of it beyond the Tip about "...seasonal spirit to your ad units - during holidays and special events, your ads will now display themed colors and graphics where appropriate."
I haven't even though I've been seeing the Holiday logo yesterday on the search page since yesterday

I wouldn't use the themes. They look like ads and therefore it makes no sense to use them.

Hi all,
I haven't used the seasonal themes personally.
May try it out for Valentines Day.
On a related note, though, isn't anyone bothered
by the fact that "G" simply decided to add their
little advertisement to everyones sites without
a by your leave?
You know the one I mean? The one that says
"advertise on this site"? We don't get paid for
those you know.
It's one thing to be able to chose an enhanced
ad format, but to my mind it's a horse of a
different color for them to decide that I should
include their ads on my site. I've disabled mine.
Btw. I have heard that CTRs have taken a nose
dive, with that little ad on sites.
Any opinions?
Best,
Ursula

You can opt out of this - I most certainly did.
Log into your account, and on the my account tab. towards the bottom you see "Onsite advertiser signup". Edit the info to opt out. It will take up to a few days before the links dissapear, but you can at least opt in or out as you choose. Everybody was sent an email a couple of weeks before it started explaining this.

Man, those themed ads were horrible! I enabled them one day, turned 'em off the next. Unfortunately, it took more than a day for them to go away. They appeared transparent on dark backgrounds w/ blue text and white behind the background images - completely unreadable and most definitely did more harm than good.

I don't think the theme'd Ad's for Christmas were the best... but I'm looking forward to the Hallowe'en Ads.
