 Want to see a really clever use of AdSense blending ?
It's probably the best I've ever seen this done and if you weren't looking for it, well...
Tough, I'm keeping the idea to myself!
:p
OK, OK, I'll share... [ http://www.morenews.be ]
I'm so very jealous, I tell you.
Note to self: emulate ASAP!

Very subtle integration of the 234x60 block in the "Latest News" section.
But what has me fascinated is how did they get the images to appear as part of the background of the 336x280 block?
Anybody have any ideas... Is this acceptable?
Looks pretty cool though.

Hey Malachim,
After posting about how did they get the graphics in the ad block, I read another of your posts about the Google Christmas stuff.
Is that what's happening with the block on the above page?
It sure does make it "stick out"...

I though you had to display the URL of the ad. Aren't what they are doing a violation of the TOS?

I was looking at the page. I lost it and went back again. Not only are the ads well blended they change areas on the page great idea will look into that forsure.
Thanks for showing us Malachim

I actually didn't see the ads on the first look, apart from the block that's visible bottom right.
On second look, I can see a small ad block only mixed in with the articles. They have made the URL white, which is a bit questionable though. I'd like to know if it's allowable though, as I might consider it. The adsense color picker lets you do it, so you do wonder if it's actually OK.

Doing a bit of experimentation, the publisher must be a premium publisher, and adsense are allowing him to do this.
I tried getting adsense to make me a box with a white URL blended into a white background and although it let me choose this, it wouldn't generate the code. It defaulted to the generic adsense theme. I then tried altering the colour manually to FFFFFF, and that defaulted to black text for the URL line.

Very cool for sure - really like the way the ad is able to move to a different location. Regarding not seeing the url though - aren't we all able to do that for the 728x90 468x60 234x60 ads?
My pages usually combine a 300x250 to the right of text/content with a 468x60 between the page title and a heading for that text - I see the url on the bigger block but not on the banner size.

That's really cool. I'm curious what kind of CTR the site gets though. Very creative though.
