PR different using www vs. not

Hi, I just noticed a difference in my Google PR It is a 5 if I use www in the url and a PR 4 if I don't....have others noticed that? And what is the significance of that?

Hi Karlf,

That is not unusual at all. The www. yourdomain.com is actually a sub-domain of yourdomain.com. Subdomains normally will have a different PR than the domain itself or other sub-domains. Your www probably ranks higher because most of your incoming links are using www.
