I've decided to sell another of my web sites. It's probably 3 years old now. The home page is a PR4. It is a local business web directory for the Central Ohio area. It has some pretty solid search engine position for a bunch of terms...and it receives new submissions from area businesses every few days...so the content basically manages itself...you just having to approve or decline requests for free listings. The site is designed to be supported exclusively by Adsense. Its largest day ever was $25.91 (in Sept 2005) and the smallest was 27 cents. But it's been on the low side lately. The last full month was about 3 bucks a day. It's got 248 link partners in the links directory. And it's presently averaging 65 unique visitors a day.

It's a database-driven site. I'll have my site admin guy move it to your server. It will require a MySQL database for the site data...plus another one if you intend to purchase Reciprocal Manager to keep the links directory functional (it IS possible to just keep the link partners by posting those pages as static HTML pages...less desirable, but easy to do).

Here are some of the strong search results on the various search engines, sampled from actual searches over the last 24 hours.

MSN
columbus ohio business directory - #1
Columbus, Ohio business - #3
churches Columbus OH - #5
columbus daycares - #6

GOOGLE
Columbus Ohio business - #1
columbus, ohio businesses - #1
columbus ohio directory - #2
movie theatres in columbus ohio - #4
central ohio, mental health - #9
carpets columbus ohio - #12

YAHOO
columbus ohio business directory - #1

As you can see, these are pretty impressive search positions for the site's primary key terms. Site optimization could help the site rank much better for more terms. I have never done any keyword research at all for this site.

I have a couple of suggestions for improving ranking and traffic on the site, which I will offer here for anyone who might be considering buying it:

1. I have a very affordable resource for mass directory submissions, which can provide you with a bunch of quality, categorized, one-way links.
2. I believe Adsense could be implemented much more effectively on the site. I've taken the "lazy man's" path with it so far...but I believe some time invested in working in Adsense mixed with the page content could bear some fruit.
3. Finally, there are a TON of regional directories like this across the US. I have to believe that time spent pursuing link exchanges with relevant sites like that would also be well spent.

I will accept bids on this site until 10pm ET Sunday, January 15th. At that time, the two highest bidders will have an opportunity to outbid each other. OR, if you know you want it, I will accept the first bid of $750 that I receive (sort of a Buy It Now option), and at that time, everyone will be notified that the site has been sold.

Oh yeah...you probably want to know which site this is, eh? LOL...
