I haven't used AdWords yet - so still investigating it.

I have a question about one particular aspect of AdWords: If you are an AdWords advertiser, I assume that you set your budget on a daily basis. Once that budget is used up your ads no longer appear. So, if for example, you are bidding for 50 clicks at say $1 per click and this is the highest in the category then this may get used up by say 11am... Let's assume that this happens.

Does this mean that the higher paying words are available at the beginning of the day and towards the end of the day the clicks are worth less? Also, when does a day start in the AdSense/AdWords world? Is it PCT?

Thanks!!

I don't know about the higher paying time frames, but I do know that the Google day starts at midnight Google-land (the west coast of the US). Just like the AdSense day, basically.

I've once asked for a feature in AdSense/AdWords/Google Analytics where I can set my timezone in my account settings, and Google answered they have had that request before and are considering it. If they do it, they will have to implement it on these three systems at the same time, they said, which makes it a bit more difficult to manage than on one system.

Do you use AdWords? If so, how does it work? Does your quota/limit of spending get used up per day?

If that is the case then you would imagine that the higher paying ads would be used up ealier in the day right?

I do use AdWords a little bit (I don't have any active campaigns right now). It is not very difficult to use. Why don't you sign up and have a look around. Google have a very dedicated and active support team for AdWords (it's in their interest too, you know).

The answer to your question is a little more complex - depending on your topic may result in more clicks during business hours - more during the afternoon (when K-12 are surfing) or more during the evening (when joe public is surfing).

But certainly during 12 midnight to 6am U.S. Pacific Time you will not get a lot of action...
