Here is a Joel Comm reader who took it upon himself to create an Adsense plugin for Worpress. It adds a button to your post-writing admin page. When you click it, a tag is inserted in your post where the your Adsense block will appear.
I have been using it on my blog for the last few weeks and it has worked well. It can be downloaded here:
