Article posting helps to increase page rank of the websites.

Ready your own best article with resources box (webpage link). Submit it to more than 100 article websites. It gives you more than 100 one way links.

Your article also reprinted by other websites.

Would recommend modifying your articles for every submission to avoid any future possible duplication penalties from the SE's though...

Why do people say to alter articles to avoid duplication????

This is the dumbest statement I have ever heard.

I write articles on a regular basis, I have around 15,000 inbound links from these articles, am I to alter my articles 15,000 times?

An article is an article (I think Yogi Berrer said this). No matter how many times you alter an article, ultimately there has to be duplication.

Quite the opposite, I believe SE will reward the author as an "expert" if a particular article appears on more than one site.

My experience has been, write an article, submit it, do not do multiple alterations. Sit back and enjoy the inbound links.

The modification comments initially started when Matt Cutts hinted that the new infrastructure at Google would possibly penalise it in the future (ie. duplication). the comment lasted 3 hours before it was pulled so read into that what you want.

Traditionally the article submission process has been the way to go but like most techniques the SE's start to see the ways in which it can be abused and start to modify their approachs, unfortunately not a lot stays fixed in the worls of the SE's.

Hello eyecaredr,

Looks like you have really gotten great results from using articles.

Is there a particular submission service or software that you would recommend using for getting your articles out there?

Thanks for your response.

All The Best,

Tony

Write a COHERENT, logical, mildly compelling, ORIGINAL article on a particular niche subject.

Check your grammar, spelling and sentence flow. This is very important.

I use Article Submitter Pro, there are others out there, Pro happens to be a very good value, and it works great. Submit to the major article directories, and this should be done directory by directory, checking each submission. I submit to the top 25 directories.

It is VERY important you do not feed these directories garbage.

Additionally make sure each article has a Bio section with your in bound link.

IF YOUR ARTICLE IS GOOD, and your niche is popular, tons of websites will want your article to improve their website's keyword density. They win, you definitely win.

Within months you will see a huge increase in visits, which ultimately results in dollars.

There are no short cuts, period!
Black-hat crap is very short term, if you are looking for long term gains, with reasonable stability, build your empire brick by brick, and avoid the temptation of quick.

Hello eyecaredr,

Thank you for the informative and helpful info.

Long-term gains - that's exactly what interests me.

I'm glad to see that you advocate writing "original" articles. It is true that "quality never goes out of style".

Thanks again.

All The Best,

Tony

If you are worried about duplucate content, but want to try articles, then don't post your own article on your site.

I just converted one of my sites to an article submisison site. Right now it automatically accepts all submisisons ( the site says it will review them , but until the word gets out and I have a problem - that's the way it is now).

I welcome articles submissions to this site at http://www.infoarea.com/ It currently has 2,180 google links to it - primarily from old but valid content.

PLease add me to your article subbmitter site list.

Question - I have the orginal article subbmitter software with less sites listed.Would you recommend an upgrade to the pro?

It use to be that links where the most important thing....

Now we worry about dup content, link trading, and refrain from linking to other sites....

Truth is the search engines WILL always have to modify the algorithms to fight the spammers and quick money makers.....

do you think sites like myspace become supper popular because they rank number one for a search term....

its from people and word of mouth....

if g punishes you for having dup content I say its because they are trying to stop site scrappers from just coping other sites info to attract visitors....

the deal is if you write an article and people put it on their site, chances are strong that page will not rank at all.... but why should it, you didn't write it.... but it will display ads.... so if you add updated content and then have a lot of other "Good" articles people will read and come back for more.... once they are on your site they need to be able to find articles easy....

"all g has done with the killing of all dup content was to eliminate the g search on small sites....

why would i put the g search box on my site if i only have 10 pages indexed? we all know the payouts are bad for the search clicks.....

make a site people will bookmark... and remember thats what Joel is saying....(i think)

people = traffic..... you have a good site on tennis and i found something of interest one time, you can bet I'll be looking their again for future info.... Repeat traffic = $$$$

I believe Google now tries to determine the authority site for an article that is posted multiple times. Generally if you are the site who has had the article indexed longest on an established mature site, then you are most likely considered the authority site for that article.

I don't believe the author needs to make any changes to the article before submitting it to different article depositories, since he/she presumably has already posted it to their site, so are the first. Where the changes need to come is with the site that is going to use an article found at a free article site. If they are one of the first few sites to post the article, chances are they will also rank well, even if they only make minimal changes. If they make some minor changes to the article, they can also rank well, even tho the bulk of the article is the same. You don't have to change very much to make Google see it as a different article.

Some simple things you can do is add headings in h1 tags to make the article more readable and emphasize targeted keywords, format some information in a bulleted list that was originally in paragraph form, or add just one unique paragraph at the beginning of the article introducing it to your readers with some original content of your own, a few sentences is plenty. If you want to take the time, you can also add some keywords here and there in the article to make it rank better if the author did a poor job of that.

You can also make it unique by adding related links into the article or at the end (including links to affiliate products that fit). Your own internal menu links and page header and footer also contribute to making the article unique content. Google doesn't diffrentiate from left and right column material and the main body content, it's all analyzed together.

I both submit articles to the free article sites, and use articles from them, and both have worked well for me.

When submitting articles, my advice would be to not make them spammy and keep the resource box to two or three lines, and check your spelling and grammar. If I have to do too much editing to make the article presentable, it's faster for me to just write an original article of my own, so I won't bother with yours. Same if you go overboard in making it sound like a sales letter instead of an informative article. Use the links in your resource box to drive traffic to a page where you push your product, without being obvious about it, instead, and I'll be much more likely to use your article.

Articles is one of the best way to get your site indexed in the search engine.

However, I don't think articles can give you lots of traffic except give you a higher PR since you only receive a one way link to your website.

I would like to advice everybody, please remember to put your Keyword inside your Resource Box. This is where I see people make a mistake.

For example, you have a website about 'fishing tip' and the URL is www.fishingtipsandguides.com. I would suggest you put a HTML code inside your resource box and use the keyword 'fishing tip', don't put www.fishingtipsandguides.com

By doing this, at least your website will be index based on keyword.

Think about this, what people will type on the search box? Are they going to type 'fishing trip and guides', or they simply type 'fishing tip'?

do you only post to article sites with html enabled links, or do you find a full url in text works well for SEO?
