Located on the right? It's not a good place for the eye, although you can get the occasional missed click when the user wants to scroll down the page and doesn't use the mouse wheel.
I know google places its ads on the right but on their heat map they show that left side is better.

I saw ads at the end of articles as well, but they should be blended, links in red would works slightly better I think.

It's a four column site and the adsense ads are in the fourth column.

Personally I think they'd go better in the third column.

Plus the color is very irritating on my eyes :)
