My site http://www.webmaster-resources101.com has a CTR that I am not exactly happy about... I'm looking to boost it a bit. Any suggestions on how I could do that?
Cheers

Going on the first page, I'd say maybe left align the ads, and change the link colours to match links everywhere else in your site.
Currently the ads blue links stand out too much, although blue is traditionally proven as being one of the best colours for links.

I'll try left aligning it. Thanks.
The dark blue color that I use for my websites links just doesn't seem to work any better than the light blue... I'll try a medium rectangle and see if ti works better.
Also, what is your sugegstions when ti comes to testing your adsense? I have about 10 channels for my one website. Is it best to terst 1 or 2 at one time so that I dont' get confused?
Cheers.

Yes, I would agree testing not too many at a time.
Also (if your site has PHP and MySQL, most ISPs do) seriously consider getting Adsense Tracker which is so much better than the Google control panel for understanding exactly which ads people are clicking, which formats, and also the channels you have set up, etc. I use it.
Some very good bonuses with it too.
This is the site I am talking about.....
http://www.adsensegold.com/
but there is also a different product at
http://www.adsensetracker.com/
that doesn't seem to have the bonuses, but is nicer looker interface, and is probably what most people on this forum are referring to.
Confusing!

Thanks Jim,
I'll create a poll and see what people use :)

One quick and effective thing would be to get rid of the banner ad below your header. That would bring the Adsense entirely above the fold and remove a distraction.

Hi Mr. Tech,
Really nice clean look. I like the color choices and the navigation rollover effect.
I presume that Dating Pro has a pretty good payout for you to have a banner on top and bottom.
Here's another thought for your AdSense... where you now have your ad block, make a table with two columns. In the left column, put in your AdSense code (I like the traditional light blue link color like you have).
In the right column add a tall narrow graphic that relates to your products and services. This would help fill out the column space, and make for a better layout.
I'd place the graphic to the right of the AdSense code - that way people will begin by reading the ads. Just a thought... if you need assistance with a graphic, let me know.
Also, I really like the look and subject matter of your Forum. Great job!

Thanks for your comments markp-r :)
A graphic sounds good but what graphic? I can't think of anything relating to my website... Do yuo have any suggestions and know where I can get one from or does it need to be custom designed?
Cheers

Hello again Mr. Tech,
Perhaps for testing purposes, you might try something as simple as this:
*********
It might at least give you a starting point visual to see what you think. I'd recommend placing the graphic in the right hand column of a two column table - with your 300x250 AdSense block in the left hand column.
Might I also recommend that you ask for other forum members opinions of the changed layout (with or without graphic). There are a lot of very bright and knowledgeable folks participating here. You can have the benefit of their combined wisdom for as little as asking.
Remember... testing... testing... testing...
Cheers to you as well :)

Cool!
I'll test out that graphic and see how it performs :)
