New just released today that video ads will soon be making their appearance. These are the formats:
Use one of the three ad formats that support video ads: 300x250 Medium Rectangle, 336x280 Large Rectangle, or 250x250 Square
Questions:
Anybody know which of the 3 box sizes have the most videos available for them? If you were writing a video to fit one of the sizes in AdWords, which size would you pick and why?
Anybody have a link to a site where this type of ad shows up regularly?

For the same price I would take the larger one, and since the 336x280 block has been pushed/promoted by Google as the biggest money earner, I guess more webmasters are using it right now, so more ad space available.

There is some really interesting research that shows that the faster a site loads the more likely you are to get traffic staying and Google also seem to like fast loading sites... I live in the back of beyond and have ADSL, our local town mainly does not and we had a questionaire asking if we would use 512 if we could get it - well we get far faster than that but testing the Google video example it took ages to load.
What do you want - to be available to everyone? Most do not use ADSL even if it is available and in many rural areas it could still be a very long time before it does become available. If there is a risk of me getting the video add I will turn of graphics, I want people to stay on my site and click - how many will really click on a video - unless the video tells them to and you have to wait for it to load etc etc - 15 seconds is the break point - after that they are on someone elses site.
For areas with high ADSL it will work but remember that anyone could be viewing your site and if it all stops while a video loads - you may lose money and not gain it.
Lets not forget that some providers also limit the amount of data you can download, if you get near that limit you will switch fast from any site downloading what you don't specifically want to see.

Video ads will probably only display their image counterparts to non adsl users, don't worry.
