I have just had three sites literally slaughtered by the latest MSN Algorithm update. In one case across the MSN network the site had (as of last Friday GMT) over 450 Page one slots for keywords, now it has 87.
The main index html has ceased to exist as far as MSN.com is concerned despite still being no 1 on all of the regional variants of MSN i.e Xtramsn, Ninemsn etc.
Because these sites are less than 6 months old there has been negligible traffic yet from the other engines to compensate for this. In some cases revenue is down by 70%.
Anyone else been caught by this. The sites in question are non spammy and are infomediary sites involved in Healthcare. They contain adsense but only have one slot per page.
The general perception on other SEO Forums are that this MSN update is a dogs dinner and might not last long but how long is "not long"? Anyone got any clues?
