I could not decide where to put this thread, so feel free to move it if you think it should go somewhere else.
Joel states that putting Kontera ads on a page does not violate Googles TOS. Having read the TOS again several times, I think I agree that the Kontera ads match the description of a 'short link' that is OK in the TOS.
However, I think it also matches the competitive service that is not allowed. Have you, Joel, or anyone else actually written to Google and asked about this specific case?
If no-one has I am prepared to do it, but if someone has already asked, I don't want to raise it any higher on their radar screen!
