Hello Everyone,
What are everybody's thoughts on how the adwords changes will affect adsense. Good or bad? More revenue shares for us or less? Makes you wonder what they have in store for adsense next!

Cathleen,
I have done a bit of homework since Thursday, spoken with and e-mailed a few counterparts.
Firstly they say that the pricing in some cases increased from 100% - 300% on a majority of keywords which is not acceptable. However previously disapproved keywords are now accepted with in some cases 5 cent ppc.
They are not going to increase there daily / weekly / monthly budgets in the foreseeable future. Which means that the amount of ads shown per day will decrease most definitely affecting Adsense.
One counterpart who handles an Airline account who spend thousands on ppc have told him no extra money will be made available. With fuel increases rising daily they refuse point blankly to pay for any more ads.
He informed me that 1 Keyword has increased from $1.50 to minimum price of $4.12, others from $0.25 to $0.85 (He also said " I would hate to FN tell you what the biggest increase was, but I can tell you we could have a good night out in Dublin for just one Cllick.
That way of thinking will hit us all, on one of my sites my daily income of $60 - $70 per day has decreased to on average since last Thursay to $28 - $30 with no sign of improvement.
More money for Google less Ads Shown = Less return for us.

Perry Marshal gave a free seminar about the changes.
You can listen to it here: http://www.perrymarshall.com/keywords/
Hope it helps.

I think it is going to unfortunately take a bit for this to calm down. Anyone that listenned to Perry's teteseminar (or webinar) should have had some concerns put aside or at least now understands what we all are facing.
Unfortunately most people/companies using adwords do not understand the changes beyond the fact that it is costing them more for listings on many key words they may have been using for quite some time.
I think this will hurt Adsense revenue at least for a time as we will see people pausing ads or deleting them in an attempt to stop the new bleeding.
Yes, words that you previously could not get listed are now accessible but frankly may cost too darned much. I can now run ads on some words that I previously was unable to use but the min bids are $5.00 or more! Forget it.
Ultimately users will/must adapt. It may take a little time.
We also must wait and see what Google has to say about their changes after they have run for a while. It may change again.
Bottom line, sit tight, be careful with your Adwords, listen to Perry's seminar (listed in an above post) and continue your diligence in searching out good Adsense site topics. What used to be bad may now be good.
My 3 cents for what it's worth.

as an advertiser and publisher, i've noticed my keywords are getting more expensive to activate. this is true even when there are only 2 ads showing for those keywords and my high CTR keywords at 10c are getting squeeze to 30c to 50c to re-activate (they're in "inactive" state).
the ads are however still being shown!!! but less regularly.
i've decided to keep them at the lower CPC and guess what, after 2 to 3 days, all my keywords are back to active state at the same lower CPC!
putting on my publisher hat, the revenues have increased slightly. i would expect google to show higher CPC ads more frequently so my adsense revenues should rise accordingly. at least theoretically that's what google expect with this change. time will tell...

I've noticed that many of my adwords are getting more and more expensive, however, my adsense revenue is higher than it has been lately.
trying to find an effective adwords equivalent that is cheaper. tried kanoodle and got very little for my money.
