Hey guys,

I know it's a small accomplishment, but I'm so happy I had to share it with you. If you will go to http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=martin+brothers+BBO+bike you'll see we're at #1!!!! :)

We're also #1 for Gypsy Charros bike:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=Gypsy+Charros+bike

and #4 out of 22,700 for Kim Suter's bike
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=Kim+Suter+bike

Now, if we could just get somebody to click on the AdSense...

Aw, shucks, Hamish. You make me blush. Still, every little victory makes all the effort worth it.

Thanks again,

Mark, you rock! :D It makes me feel good that we're climbing up in the ranks, but I cannot seem to pin down why we get so few clicks. And, when we do happen to get a couple -- how can I say this without violating the TOS -- the EPC is less than what is supposed to be the absolute minimum. While I do analyze and test what puny results I do get, there's simply not enough clicks to make any kind of statistically accurate projection.

Personally, I think this is a great niche. You have a small, tightly focused market of rabid fans. They are of the demographic to have a relatively high level of disposable income, since most of them are of the baby boom generation (like my fiance). And they LOVE to buy their "toys", not just the bikes themselves, but all the paraphenalia that goes with them. We provide, IMHO, great and useful content. We develop relationships with our readers so that we get great repeat visits. I don't understand it. Maybe I'm just following into that trap of what a well known internet marketer referred to as backward marketing. That means you create a product and try to find a market for it, which should be the other way around.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Everyone here is the absolute greatest!! :D

Thanks again for your wonderful support. I hope that I can be as big a help to this forum as it has been to me so far.

Andrea

One thing to keep in mind Andrea -

Most Blog or forum formats are not as good in getting people to click on the AdSense ads. I've been told it's because people come there specifically for info... and hardly ever notice the ads.

So, one thought might be to create another motorcycle site that features photos of bikes... ones you've taken ... and perhaps user submitted photos.

With that type of site you could easily blend a nice 336x284 AdSense Block in a "hotspot" on the page, and I think you would find much better click thru rates.

You could also link to the photo site from your current site... which might be a nice feature for your visitors.

One more thing to keep in mind. Success is an ongrowing process. You've had your site since March... I'd say give it a few more months before you see the results of your linking and exposure efforts. Work the site everyday... and one day you'll find even greater success.

Also, participating here at adsensechat.com is another way to give your site some exposure - :D

Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much, Mark. You have no idea how much I appreciate how supportive everyone is here. I suppose I chose the blog format, in part, because of all the hype. You know, make a gazillion a month blogging fifteen minutes a day, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, right!:p

As I said before, the blog is mostly a passion for my fiance. He loves doing the research and interacting with our readers. While I'm not going to abandon my efforts on the beachcruiser blog, I'm shifting more towards researching some higher paying keyword niches and, as you said, building proper content websites as opposed to blogs.

But, you're right. Success is a process and you have to be committed to it, which I am by all means. Internet marketing provides me with the creative freedom that I never had working in the corporate IT world. Plus I get to meet such great people like you. Some days I'm tearing my hair out. But, I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Thanks again!!
Andrea
