View Full Version : Don't Forget...!

Remember not to become too narrow-sighted.
It almost happened to me, and for all I know,
it could still be happening to me in some areas.
But, thankfully, I caught this one in time....

I say "in time" because EVERY VISITOR counts.

ADSENSE is an indispensible income stream for
just about ANY site, but it's so important to
remember that just ONE sale of lucrative affiliate
product can be the equivalent of 200 Adsense
clicks on a .10 payout.

I just made $$600 these past 10 days by having
things placed in a very specific way. So if you
looked strictly at my ADSENSE earnings, you might
think, "Omg, you have to do something to get those
clicks up, man!" yet you wouldn't know that plenty
of those clicks made me $20-$73 each.

So here's a VIEW OF MY SITE (http://controversialmarketing.blogspot.com/2005/08/triangulating-with-google-adwords-for.html) where I mix it all up.
Unlike mini-sites for specific products where you don't
want to confuse people with so many choices, this
is very different. You're giving people different choices
of different TYPES.

I want you to notice a few things very carefully at
that site:

At the END of each and every post are 3 different
OBVIOUS things that benefit me.

1) Donation Button - some people are moved to donate
but you have to get them when they're hot, right after
they've read the article and feel the value.

2) Adsense LINKS - I, personally, don't want them having
to read wordy ads after reading my post. I use the links
so they can see a short description and let their mind fill
in the blanks of what might be contained within.

3) Small Banner to a Downline Opportunity of Some Kind
(in this case, Search Estate - gets me $ and opt-in)

The UNOBVIOUS things I've embedded in Blogger's own
css formatted links such as "comments" etc.

4) Tell-A-Friend Link (gets visitors for more ADSENSE
clicking, AND its lead capture for me)

5) Promote Your Blog for FREE (a Blog Ad Exchange,
that nets me 500 credits per signup)

SO MANY choices. The point is to mix it up a little,
along with on-site ways of having your clicking traffic
bring you more clicking traffic passively. Then you'll
get ALL your income streams hammered and gain opt-ins
to boot.

I've made this post because I see a tendency for people to
dream of that $10,000/mo Adsense site, but it can be
way more than that, and FASTER, if you have the right
mix of things INCLUDING ADSENSE.

So I'll leave you with a very important concept I learned
when my family owned a chain of 30 convenience stores:

"Don't Trip Over Dollars to Pick Up Quarters..."

USE Adsense, just don't get so focussed on it that you
forget to put a relevant affiliate product next to it that
could net you $20-$50 every 50 visitors, thus equalling
what it might take 500-1000 users to do on an Adsense-Only
Site.

Here's that site example (http://controversialmarketing.blogspot.com/2005/08/triangulating-with-google-adwords-for.html) again. Thanks.

Sincerely,
Sam
