OK... I admit it...
I use Ad Link units (the single term keyword text link) that AdSense offers. I get a fair number of clicks on them... but I don't really know how valuable they are.
Is anybody else using Ad Links? Any idea how they are doing for you?
Does anybody know where to look on the AdSense site for a click report for Ad Links? I use Adsense tracker, so I do know that I'm receiving clicks. But, I'd like to get a handle on more than that.
Also, is anybody using Ad Links in creative ways?
I've tried using images above the Ad Links. The jury is still out on the results.
Apparently, the images above the Ad Links on my page are in compliance with Google's TOS. I asked them for their opinion.

I like their latest 4-across and 5-across link units. I added them to three of my sites during the last week and have already been very pleased with the results.
They don't do well on my blog, because it tends to vary in its topics -- Adsense focuses well on the archive copies of the posts, but can't keep up with the changing topics on the blog's home page.
On the other hand, in my Home Theater PC pages, my Coffee pages and my Computer Tips pages, the adlinks are doing well.

Great job with the ad links...
The way you have them on your home theater and coffee pages is remarkable. They blend in very nicely, and look like they were designed as part of your site. Really nice.
Also, I like the concept of having a search link (text) near the middle of the page that takes your visitor to the bottom of the page where you have the Google search box:
"Not what you need? Search Google."
It caught my eye right away. Have you seen any improvement in your search revenue since you started doing that?

I wish! My search revenue is miniscule and hasn't changed noticably with the link to the search bar.

I agree with Dragonsage, the horizontal adlinks display very nicely at the top of the page. I gotta try that out too. As I understand it, according to Google, you can throw in an adlink on a page in addition to your allotted 3 regular ads, so I'm going to give it a shot.

I just started so I've no useful data, but you can see them here. I use links at the end of posts so that instead of baring the ad for all to see, I look at it as a teaser link that makes them take an action step to see more. Probably sounds good in theory, but who knows.
