Is there a way to find out which keywords your sites are indexed in? For instance, if I have a site, is there a way to find out how many pages are indexed in google and under what keywords?

Yes there is: Google Analytics. https://services.google.com/inquiry/publishertools?hl=en_GB

To find out more information about your site you will be required to insert a bit of code that Google give you into your index page. That allows Google to know that it is YOU who owns the page. After that you can delete the bit of script. But then you can find out what keywords are ranking highly and a whole bunch of other stuff.

An even easier way, if I understand your question is to go to Google and type in site:mysite.com - Replace "mysite" with your sites url, example if I were to do it for my site it would be site:wm8c.com . This will show you how many (top right hand side) and what pages are indexed.
Hope that helps...

Sorry I read your post a little closer and Reprobate has given you the correct answer for your diliemma. I missed the "keywords" part of your question the first time  Your host should also have some reports available that will tell you what keywords people are finding your site under.

One other recommendation I would make is join Hit Tail. This tool is slick and also requires a small snippet of code to be added to your pages, but it gives you a wealth of information including making some suggestions for pages or key phrases you can choose to enhance your site with. You can join here at www.hittail.com. Another site for more of this information (and I use both) is 103bees at www.103bees.com . Between these two sites, you'll have more information than you will ever want and then add Google analytics to it and your in data heaven lol!

You can never know all the keywords or phrases that your site will be found with, as things change too rapidly but you will probably be interested to find that there are some you haven't though of yet ;)

Now that's a short and to the point reply :) but accurate. "Find Niche, make money" it should have read :D

:D ..there no need to elaborate to long..just take the "keyword" only for SEO essential..

I like to use the Google Sitemaps tool, it's statistics section to be specific. It not only shows you your top 20 keywords you are ranking for but your position as well... this is a great tool for see what you rank for.

Sorry, I missed the point of both your posts.

"Make a research..find niche.." doesn't give the answer to Agque which was finding the keywords HIS sites are indexed for.

Maybe if you could elaborate a little more the answer would reveal itself to the less discerning types like me.

yup..i'm realized that too..

i think to know what keyword that indexed for site depends on site content.if i focus on "online marketing"..that keyword will be most indexed by search engine..;)

You're still missing the point.

My first post in this thread answers Agque's question.
