I want to become extremely good and profitable at adsense.
I am ordering joels book, but until it gets here, I want to keep working at this.
What hardcore advise do you guys have for me. I mean, where can I get free resources, what should I be doing right now, what should I be reading, what should I be buying?
I know it's not "easy" I am extremely good at learning things lol
I just taught myself to become a consistantly highly profitable forex trader, something over 95% of people fail at, and I think that this shouldnt be a problem. Then I can raise up a grubstake and make some real cash.
Yeah you want an excellent opportunity you may not have though of? online forex trading! High Risk Reward!
SO yeah, please let me know what I should be doing. I am the perfect student I know exactly how to go about this you know, I'm just looking for...
*** What are the pitfalls???
*** What are the hard to accept truhts about adsense? Whats the downside behind all the hype?
Anyway thanks and I look foreward to your posts

ok man, I guess you are saying it's really not that hard
I heard joel in an interview with chris pirillo and he was saying hey it might take you months to start earning a lot... I was like damn!
I intend to earn much faster than that!

So you are an experienced Forex guy? Then write about it and make a site out of it or maybe a blog.
Do you have a hard drive full of articles that you have written that have never been published?
Successful web sites thrive on excellent, unique and plentiful content, if you have some use it.
If you have a busy web site with lots of traffic then making money is easy, so my number one tip is..."get on with it: get your site up there!"
hope this helps.
As far as getting a good CTR with adsense, just look at some sites of people who are doing well, my best ones are in my signature. Above all don't try and click yourself rich by clicking your own ads, it will all end in tears!
It is probably worth diversifying too, for example I just released a new web site today using the standard PayPal subscription to take money from people in return for mobile phone horse racing tips (http://www.everydaywinner.co.uk).

Well if you pull that off you will be one of the rare ones. Adsense takes traffic and clicks. If you don't have lots of both, you will be where most of us started and that's building up a steady stream of income. You can be as excited as you want, but the fact still remains that lots of great content that will interest visitors, lots of traffic, and lots of clicks on good paying niches is the trick, and the only real trick to the whole thing. The rest is fairly obvious and will be explained in the book. In the meantime, check out Googles own optimization tips while you are waiting at the adsense help site or check out Googles Adsense blog. Good luck!

Everyone has intentions.
Whether they are attainable, grand or even delusional.
If your sole intention is to earn money and do it fast then you may miss the opportunity of learning things the right way.

And speaking of the unobtainable, there is always "smart pricing". Had some killer days from the 1st of August until this morning, almost made as much in the first nine days of this month as I had all of last month, and today...low and behold, we are back from $.40 - 1.60 per click to a few cents per click. You just gotta love that! I wish I understood it, but I've seen it happen enough times over the last 5 months, that it doesn't surprise me anymore. Was looking like a record month for at least a short while
Adsense seems to be running hours behind itself at this point too today, as Analytics is showing almost triple the clicks that Adsense is at the moment and usually it's the other way around?
You just gotta love this program lol! Oh well, maybe someday we can all be premium accounts and make our own rules :)

:) Great post ManInBlack!
Michael Cheney makes over $50,000 per month with adsense.
Yea he knows, yea he's good, just like Joel Comm.
You want to learn from him? You gotta at least check it out if you want
to be a serious player in this arena.

MIB well done for raising your thoughts early on (And to my mind man you have the coolest Avatar on the site!).
1st nothing comes easy, buy no e-books or adsense systems until you have posted on here asking for peoples opinions on them.
2nd dont' buy them if just one person recommends them and 'just happens' to have an affiliate link in their signature to the said product.
3rd never take up the recommendation from anyone who has just 1 or 2 posts on this forum, they are often just spammers.
4th It does take time, chances are if you buy system that claims to make you $10,000 a month within a week, you will get banned from adsense in less time than that, and they only ban you the once (like it virtually never comes back). The only people making money from those systems is the ones selling them.
5th stick with this forum, if in doubt ask, then ask again, and don't feel stupid to ask a third time - better that than waste $97 or so on an e-book. As you might gather by number of posts I'm a supporter of Joels basic adsense fundamentals - although another top gentleman is William Charlwood
No affiliate plug given to either as to my mind the whole point of a free forum is about getting free advice.
Hope this helps you and others,
Cheers,
Dickie Boy
