It would be great if there is an advertising secion, where people are allowed to promote their own product.

However, you can restrict them posting to much ads, by saying you are only allowed to post one ad for every 50 posts you contribute, for example.

i agree that would also make the visitors to come back but just have to be aware of spammers roaming around

i agree it would be good, but on the negative side
it would drastically increase the work the mods need to do.

I dont see why we dont just stick to advertising in our signatures..
At least there is more chance of it being read in our sigs
