View Full Version : Beware the Copycats!

I have recently received news that someone has created an AdSense templates product that is a near rip-off of Instant AdSense Templates. This product will be available to the general public in a couple weeks. If you are on other Internet marketing lists, I'm sure you will be hearing about it soon enough.

First of all, you need to know that I am NOT associated with this product in any way. Due to the similar name and offer, some people may become confused and think that I have something to do with it. I do NOT.

Secondly, I do NOT recommend that anyone purchase this product for a number of reasons.

- The marketer knows NOTHING about AdSense, and I don't believe he has ever used AdSense on a web site.

- The product is going to feature an HTML code randomizer, software designed to fool the search engines into thinking that your page content is different than the others who use the content. This black-hat technique could get you BANNED from the search engines.

- This product is going to include a "cookie stuffer" tool, a black-hat technique for secretly dropping affiliate links on people's sites. This could get you BANNED from Google AND the affiliate programs that you participate in.

- This product is going to include hundreds of thousands of articles, that in all likelihood, are already being duplicated thousands of times over on the web. These pages will NOT get indexed!

There are even more reasons that you should avoid the copycats in order to make money with AdSense, and I'm sure I will be receiving questions from many of you as the launch approaches.

In the meantime, I am hard at work on creating the next series of Instant AdSense Templates, the ORIGINAL product with your success in mind. You are going to be amazed at what I am including in this next set. And rest assured, you will be getting QUALITY over QUANTITY.

As we continue to put this product together, I still want your input. So I've put together a quick one page survey to get your opinion...

http://www.instantadsensetemplates.com/survey/

You'll get access to a new SEO tool when you do the survey. This tool can help you "spy" on your competition and shows you what needs to be done to get into the top 10 search engine rankings.

Look for an October launch for Instant AdSense Templates when I will provide you with a true toolbox for starting or multiplying your Internet business.

Ah yes Joel, I heard of it.

Are you talking about Cody Moya's Adsense Templates?

If you are, then I can tell everybody that the templates are not really that good at all. (I received a sample copy from Cody)

It is rubbish. It is more of a template rather than an Adsense Optimized Template.

It's not so much the quality of the templates, though that does concern me. It's more that his campaign looks a LOT like mine... only a few words are changed. And moreso, the tools he is including as "special" are nothing more than gray and black-hat "let's fool the search engine" tools that really won't help people. In fact, with the Google slap that we just saw, people could be asking for trouble with these. Who knows?

Anyhow, it all rubs me the wrong way.

Thanks for your support,

Joel

I totally agree with you. The campaign actually look s exactly like yours, the name adsensetemplates.com and instantadsensetemplates.com.

Also, I agree with you that people can get into trouble for the search engine fooling tool. It is actually against Google's Webmaster's guide to do that.

Hi Joel!

I actually saw an article about two weeks that I intended to send you called "Cracking the Adsense Code" not written by you. I'll see if I can find it.

Doesn't it stink when people rip off your ideas? I have http://www.Identitytheftsecrets.com, and some less than honest person actually takes my concept, my tag line, and lots of my content (that I actually wrote), and starts a site called idtheftsecrets.

I still have better rankings and more traffic.

Impersonation is the sincerest form of flattery (and annoyance).

I received an e-mail from someone who has been selling adsense templates for over a year saying don't buy these templates because they are a direct rip-off of HIS templates with the nasty tweakes. They can't all be the same can they???????????????

There are only so many ways you can do Adsense templates and of course it does not take long for people to find a niche that is selling well and copy it.

I took my first Adsense site from 0 to $500 a month in 4 months. I bought a book and got some videos recomended by the person who sold me the book - I like playing with site design so do my own templates but thanks Joel (guess whose book :) ), this is a good start and I am working on site No 2 in the same niche. If I was a bit fitter I would probably have 10+ sites up now.

If someone rips you off - it means you are popular.

A week ago I saw that people are trying to find my solution on cracks forums and some guys are even trying to crack and access it. Demand means you are on the right way.

And Joel, with due respect and understanding how you feel about it, need to quote on this hundreds of thousands of articles, that in all likelihood, are already being duplicated thousands of times over on the web. These pages will NOT get indexed! It is not difficult to make the articles not duplicated, even with all LSA threatening stuff. And can provide proofs when my articles were duplicated on hundreds of web sites and got super well indexed, remain in index and sites do not suffer from any penalties.

This comment is made not in relation to product you are trying to warn members about. It is sharing of personal experience about duplication.
