From the official Google AdSense Blog today...

-------------

Keeping your account alive and well
Occasionally, we get emails from publishers who are worried about having their AdSense accounts disabled. And recently, we've seen that others have been talking about it too. While we do take our program policies seriously, no one should lose any sleep over their AdSense account -- after all, there's a person behind every one of them. And a big part of maintaining a positive experience is working with publishers to understand the policies. In every possible case we first try to work with the publisher over email to remedy the issue -- and in nearly every case there is a quick and easy solution. (You might want to add adsense-support@google.com to your email contacts list to make sure any email messages about your account make it past your spam filters.)

We know you care about your AdSense account and we do too. As long as you're familiar with our simple guidelines, we're positive we can continue to work together for a very long time.

Good to know, thanks Joel! I wonder if they are talking about me. LOL Just a couple of days ago I wrote to them because I noticed a HUGE jump in CTR for one of my channels, and it got me worried. They assured me the clicks were valid and due to some "improvements" they've been making. I still felt better for checking it out instead of worrying about fraud artists lurking on my pages! Maybe I'm not the only one who got paranoid?

Yeah, good to know.

However, I recommend you become very familiar with their TOS. I say this because if you break them, you could lose your account and everything you have worked for.

My personal experience with them hasn't been that friendly. I did not break terms, however, they disabled one of my sites (from G ads) and gave me a half @ssed answer on why they did. It was my biggest money maker, and they approved it, and I changed nothing. But, they decided to ban that site (not my account).

In some ways, I can see why. But, overall, it's BS. They ban sites that require members to click... Traffic Exchange, Credit Safelist, etc

So, oh well. I'm movin' on to content sites (but - had around 8000 visitors per day to the one they banned - dam(n)

Bobby, that stinks. That's exactly why I get so paranoid at times, because I hear stories like yours where you're not even sure why they banned you! I follow the TOS to the letter, but apparently others have too and still got burned. I guess maybe that's why it's good to have multiple sites, and even do some heavier affiliate product promotion, just in case.

I too had a site disabled (for want of a better wod) in Adsense, but interacting with adsense-support help me fix the problem and got my income back on track..

In case of Adsense, I have seen that it always pays to talk to them. They also are human, so drop a line of thanks or some compliments their way too!
