View Full Version : Get Your New Adsense Sites Listed Quickly...

Greetings,
As always you can just link from one of your other sites, but I don't like assuming that everyone actually HAS "other sites" and even so, the method I'm about to crudely inform you of has been said by many to be the quickest.
To get your new sites listed quickly:
1) Go to Blogger (http://www.blogger.com) and in 3 easy steps you can have a blog. If you have one already, that's wonderful, but it should be at Blogger since Google seems to favor it. ;)
2) Create 1 simple post and also include link(s) to your site(s) either in your post and/or along the sidebar. If you don't know HTML, then don't mess with your template, just include your links in your posts.
3) Get a personalized Google home page. I don't see a link from Google's main page, so just Click Here (http://www.google.com/ig)
3a) Once you have an acct and are logged in, you'll see ADD CONTENT in the top left corner. Click it, then from the list that appears, choose CREATE SECTION.
3b) Found in your Blogger Backoffice in the FEEDS section, copy your FEED URL into the box that appeared when you clicked CREATE SECTION in the last step.
Then Ping Your Blog at PINGOAT (http://www.pingoat.com)
If this sounds difficult, just do it. Step by step. Each step you take, it will make more and more sense to you. And survey says you should be listed in 24-48 hours.
Sincerely,
Sam
Hi Sam,

I got as far as this step but I don't know what you mean by blogger backoffice or feeds section, I couldn't find a reference to either of these in my blogger.com account?
Help !
Thanks.

Thanks Sam for sharing that tip with us all. It sounds like very useful advice. I just have one question. What does 'pinging' mean? I remember reading about it somewhere but have since forgotten.
Thanks again!

Can pingoat be manually added to a blog post, for example rpc.pingoat.com etc? or is there another way?

Macca and BendOr,
I haven't actually done this "live" as I use WordPress as my blogging platform of choice. However, I did "simulate" signing up for a Blogger account and these were the steps I followed.
When you sign up for a new Blogger account:
You click on the Create a Blog Button
You name your blog
You choose your template
Blogger does its little thing and creates your blog
You click on the "start posting" arrow
This logs you into your dashboard
While in your dashboard, click on the tab at top that says "settings"
There you will see the tab "Site Feed"
This is where you will copy your site feed URL to paste into your personal Google homepage
Hope that helps. As always, feel free to PM me or post with any questions.
Thanks,
Andrea

Andrea,
Thanks so much. Your expertise is enormous.
While you are on a roll, can you tell if we select all blogs on the
pingoat site?

I'm sorry, Macca. I'm not quite sure I understand your question. Could you fill me in on a little more detail?
Thanks,
Andrea

Andrea,
The question was vague, wasn`t it? :D
I`m such an impatient bugger, I put the question up in a millisecond.
At the pingoat site there are numerous sites listed to post your
blog to.
I eventually realised that you click on a category name and it automatically
posts it to every blog in that category.
Thanks for replying tho. Your a champ
Cheers,
Macca

Thanks for the information
No-one else ever mentions PINGOAT. I wondered why no-one seemed to be reading my blog. If it works it's probably one of the most valuable pieces of information I've ever been given

No problem at all, Macca. Thanks for replying back to me. Actually, I've never used pingoat as I've heard scuttlebutt that they so aggressively pursue sploggers that sometimes innocent people who are really publishing original, useful content end up getting banned. Maybe I'm just overly cautious. Also, since pingomatic is included in WordPress, I've usually just relied on that. It pings many major sites which you can see here: http://pingomatic.com/. This is the actual URL you wil want to ping, however:http://rpc.pingomatic.com. Also, I usually go and ping Technorati just to be on the safe side, as sometimes they do not update with your latest posts unless you ping them manually. http://www.technorati.com/
I hope that's of some help. Keep plugging! You're doing great!:)

WierdNatox, please see my reply to Macca for some other pinging services you might want to employ.
Another interesting fad that's making the rounds is social bookmarking, in which you tag your posts in Del.icio.us or Spurl or Digg especially if your blog is about a "hot" topic. I haven't had time to try this technique much myself. However, I've heard it's been great in bringing in more traffic from those who've used it.
Thanks,
Andrea

Now tell me this? Does this method index all your pages or just your main index?

Now tell me this? Does this method index all your pages or just your main index?Pinging the blog directories (such as Pingoat) informs the directories of the URL of your recent blog post. The directories will spider your blog and hopefully index and list that specific blog post.
Many of the blog directories are regarded as authority sites. This should lead to increased traffic and link popularity.
Where I have found value with this technique is that G, Y, and MSN are likely to check out links they find in the directories. If I have good linking on my blog post to other pages, then G, Y, and MSN will hopefully find my pages and index them.
Of course there is no guarantee that this technique works, or will continue to, but I have seen sufficient good results to believe it strongly.
Incidentally, I don't use Pingoat. I prefer to ping each directory directly. This can cause server issues but I seem to have avoided them.
