Chitika has started a new ad unit, called Shoplink. This one does not display any images, but has a searchbox and some keyword links on it. You can see one displayed on this site:

http://www.gpsreview.net/

Right now it only comes in one size, 468x180.

I have not implemented it yet, but I suppose it will be good to mix in with the other ads so your site does not look too "busy."

Hummm... I just checked it in Firefox 1.5 and it looks fine. Wonder what is the difference with 2.0?

I notified Chitika's customer service about your display problems.

I also asked them to come up with some more ad sizes - 300x250 and 336x280. These would be perfect to interchange with Adsense ad sizes.

I just heard back from the Chitika Support people, they also said that they do not see any problem with FF 2.0. They check their ad displays against many different browsers.

The votes are in. Rick, you might have problem with your 'puter!

I also suggested that Chitika design some sort of "Ad Bar Unit" at 728x15 (which is one of my favorite money makers from the big G).

Chitika has released a 200x200 size ad to match the new Adsense size ads.

There are now 4 different types of Chitika ad units.

eMini Malls
Multiple Product Units (MPUs)
ShopLinc/ShopCloud
Related Product Units (RPUs)

The RPUs are currently in Beta. The Beta testers have to have a high traffic site to qualify as testors. But the RPUs look like a nice addition to me. Chitika is really trying to becoming a player!

They also started their own forum:

ShopCloud$ is our newest gadget for your website & it actually now comes in 7 sizes (http://chitika.com/scformats.php)
The coolest thing is that anyone can have this, you can take the code right from the 468x180 by simply clicking the "create your chitika shopcloud" link below the search box.. grab the code and start testing it out!

Yeah using Chikita Shoplink with Adsense Detctive Keywords has really paid off for me.

Simply check my refering keywords on AD, input them in my Shoplink its great.

Currently in beta, Chitika is now testing inline contextual links. These are the type of ads that resemble Kontera, Intellitext, and the new Amazon contextual links.

Sample page here: http://chitika.com/tmp.php

My best guess is, that this should be compatible with Adsense, while YPN will probably say they are "not allowed" on the same pages.
