Hey Gang,

As you know, there are several programs out there that you can use to track your AdSense stats from your desktop. My question for you is, "what would you like to see in a desktop application that would provide value for you"?

I think it would be great if a desktop application could download my stats and create a database of my information like Google maintains. If I could then do my own custom reports from it and store those report templates I could better define my information.

All Google's preset reports are nice but I don't use most of them. I want to see what I want to see when I want to see it and I don't want all the other clutter...unless I do (big grin).

If I could setup my own report names with what I wanted to see, for instance, a complete breakdown of on channel or two channels by day, by daily income per month for each channel (or a group of channels) etc., it would be superb.

I'd like to set up reports that show me the productivity of a particular site based on date. That way I could plug in my own criteria and quickly determine which sites are losers. For instance, if I have a criteria of $2 a day minimum per site in order to keep it alive I'd like to create a report that shows me all sites that fall below that criteria...based on date. Is it $2 a day for the yearly average? Is it $2 a day for this month? It would be a very rapid way to handle things for me.

It would also be nice to know which pages my visitors are clicking on instead of just the sites. I guess any sort of advanced reporting would be a great tool. :D

I think all the previous suggestions are great. But I think the most important feature is that it should be accessible on all operating systems! I personally am running Mac OS X and I can't find any tools to help with my adsense pages.

If anyone out there has any influence on the developers of adsense tools, tell them that there are lots of users that would like to be able to use their software, but can't because it's not compatible. I think Java might be the easiest programming language choice.

How about a service (web based not desktop) that told you which search engine, which search term was used to get to your page, and tell you which adsense ad was clicked on and what page on your site.

Would that be of any use Joel.

Nathalie,

I am using OSX also, and since the other Mac tools mentioned (the widgets) only work in 10.4, I just use the Adsense plugin for FireFox. Granted it's limited, but at least it's something.

I have used a few and broke down and bought Adsense Desktop. I don't really like it tho.
I liked Revenue Checker, but it was ridden with bugs and kinda sloppy.

I would like to see:

Monthly Earnings in big numbers.
Todays earnings in big numbers
Possible monthly earnings based on average daily earnings
When getting the data from adsense, I don't want to have to get ALL the data since day 1.
Detection of unusual data, like your clicks going up by 5 or 10%

I will add more when I think of more.
