Have you hired a site designer or programmer?

I have seen many georgeous sites here that rank pretty well.

A ?, Has anyone either hired a programmer or a site designer to complete their sites for them? (you don't have to list your url if your shy)

If so, would you do it again?
Do you maintain the site?
Did you just give an idea and let them run with it or did you work hand & hand with them?

I know of places like rentacoder, elance, scriptlance etc., have you used one of these or someone different?

I know a little dreamweaver but I'm no designer. I hired www.tiger-studios.com to help with the design. (I hope it's ok to mention who) I gave her a really ugly drawing and she created a site from there.

I knew where I wanted things and just said make it pretty. I think she did a great job. My site is www.parkercomputerguy.com.

Since I don't know dreamweaver all that well. It has hindered me. I need to fix a small box on the home page and can't figure out how.

I'm staring to look around at the site buidlers like DG and xsitepro. I think it may be faster to work in those but I guess you lose some design flexiblity.
