Has anyone else read the promotional ad from Paul Smithson about Build an Empire with his Audiobook site package that Joel emailed?

I am willing to fork over $1,000 for it if someone on here can convince me to do so. He is looking for 1,000 buyers. Well if he gets 1,000 buyers, that's $1 million in his pocket plus $50,000 a month for the monthly fee also in his pocket, and that is before a single audio file is sold! Looking at the prices of the audio files, some as cheap as $11, if you only make 20 percent commission, you only make about a paltry $3. You'd have to sell well over a dozen each month just to break even for your $50 monthly fee.

Comments from anyone?

I bought it as I really love the "content direct" module that it includes....
It is able to built 0-100 unique content pages of whatever niche you choose and I think it is really helpful not only for the audiobook sites but also for my current adsense sites... i could then save up on Ghostwriters or PLR membership... I am not sure if I am naive enuff to think this way.. afterall, I'm a newbie ..

same reason with whwong here, I bought it cuz I have some niche targeted adsense websites that sell books and ebooks so this gonna be great additional revenues from those sites, as well.

honestly, to buy a licence on this product is such a big leap to my online biz due to the amount I have to spend but I believe that the downloadable audiobooks' market will explode sooner - thanks to iPod and other MP3 Players we can have easily nowadays.

doug145, I guess you should hear what others have to say about Build An Empire NOT just from their sale letter even though it is well-crafted and so informative - I can't deny that :)

Here's some information that I thought you'd like to read for your reference if you are interested enough to become an affiliate :

- Jason Potash : orwellpro.com/blog

- or, you can also see my other post (http://www.adsensechat.com/showthread.php?p=22740#post22740) regarding the same topic on this forum

this looks like an impressive program, however..
you need to figure out how to drive traffic to your sites. No point having the best product and web design in the world when nobody is visiting you.

If you are interested in promoting audio books, why not join audible.com, if I am not mistaken, they provide datafeed for affiliates.

just my (first) two cents.

the main target of this program is to find and have dozens of affiliates who will promote the products, not by myself alone since y'know it's kinda hard to compete with other 999 players while I don't have much of budgets for any PPC promotional campaign.

how to do that ? spread the word - words of mouth's technique - viral marketing and I am so inspired by Seth Godin's IdeaVirus marketing strategy since it makes lots of sense to me.

I believe that technique will work for years to come, as well.

I totally agree - This is not the kind of business that you dip your feet in and see how it goes.
It's one that you can develop over a long period of time.
The idea is to generate as many partner affiliate sites with you online and offline over a period of time and at the same time develop content sites or at least content for even existing sites that would rank better with teh content direct.

It's a kind of business that will take time but one that could have a very big knock on effect eventually.

I bought my package and have started the planning of the marketing and branding. It will take time and money.

yes, Hamant - it's a long term biz since it will grow along with MP3 players industry and downloadable audiobooks market is getting bigger, slowly . . . but sure :)
