They're using custom javascript to load the ads, rather than an iFrame, which allows them to modify the elements of the ads. I'd love to be able to do this on some of my sites in order to match up the font, but is it even supposed to be allowed?

They are likely premier members and thus allowed more flexibility than the rest of us as to formats etc.
They definitely have to be a premium publisher. I'm sure it leads to a much higher ctr.

Don't like to point this out but it says 'Ads by google' above the ads? If they are a premium publisher don't they have the ability to deselect this option? It just seems a little odd to highlight them as Ads By Google if they have the ability not to?
Just my common sense view?

I suspect that titantv.com is also premier, they have 4 ads on their page as opposed to the 3 that regular publishers are allowed. They leave the Ads by Google in place, too. Their Alexa is about 11,000

I actually asked Google about this last year, when I first saw it. They said that it's part of a beta for a new service, but not allowed for general users. That was at the Web conference last Spring; I haven't heard anything since, unfortunately.

Hey i surfed the site and did not find any adsense ads. Have they removed the adsense code from the site?

Looks still there to me, e.g. see

Maybe it just blends in really well? :D
Today I didn't see the format that people were asking about, but see, e.g.

Yes may be you are referring to the following format.
Sponsored Links (Ads by Google)
Antigravity system - Breakthrough by Welsh engineer Proven system, needs funding.//////cypardon.co.uk///
Scale Rules - Have a look at our great range of scale rules available now online!
///////prospectors.com.au//////
New Theory of Everything - Explains all new physics phenomena. Also incorporates the mind.
/////////NewPhysicsAndTheMind.net/////
Note : have removed the www. part and encased with //// \\\\\
I saw a similar format on the site called moneycontrol.com, this formatt appears when we are logged on on the site to view our portfolio. This i was told by my friend, is not done by the publisher, but google gives this special format for the sites having more than some nos of hits per month, probably the hits are in million. So it has nothing to do with the publishers efforts, just the grand number of hits or impressions make it happen for them.

Yes, I was referring to that. Google offers it to some publishers "experimentally", but they do need to change their site, or at least I think the "welsh antigravity :)" people did. At any rate they still have Google ads, and they are in a format not normally available.
