Can Adsense Ads open in New windows?

Can we program the Adsense ads to open in new windows versus leaving our site to go to the ad site? I feel this has a lot to do with me not getting as much clicks from my site. If there is a specific code for this please note it here.

Hi Pam,

Google is very specific in their TOS (Terms of Service) about not changing any of the code that they generate for us to use on our websites.

So, opening ads in a new window is not allowed... unless Google should offer that as an option in the future.

No, it's not allowed and I don't think it will be in the future.
Me, as an adwords advertiser would not be pleased with that feature, would you?

yeh it is not allowed but its good for adsense users but bad for adwards.
