Hummm...
I'll believe it when I see it. I've been in the YPN Beta program for almost a year now.

I read the article posted and couldn't determine if they are planning to release an adsense-type system or just a revamped PPC. If it's an adsense type of program, where can I get info about it? Thanks in advance;)

Don't feel bad. I have applied twice to the beta program and have never heard anything back from them either time. I live in the US and have multiple sites geared strictly at the US market. Any one know some tricks to getting approved for YPN?

why has it taken them so loong to get out of beta etc. You still can't even apply for that in the UK, yet we are one of the few countries in the world that's predicted for online sales to overtake high street sales within the next few years ((£4-5B online in the run up to XMas this year???))

Got a Yahoo email address? Make sure you use that one when you apply. (Just like I used my GMail address when I applied for Adsense) ;)
Yahoo Publisher Network Beta is still very primitive when compared with Adsense. Ad targetting is horrible, ads often repeat when running more than one ad unit on a page, no adlink units, no pay-for-search and site-search, no pay-for-referrals... :(
However, I keep my YPN account active and running on one website in case of Google Adsense disaster.
Maybe this Panama thing will improve things at YPN.
