Hi!

I have a site that gets 10K uniques/18K visits/60K page views a month. It generates close to $50 / month. Is that lame? I've followed many advices on the matter (including reading Joel's book), and it did help, because before I was just barely getting $1/day.

Some days I started making $3+ a day. Even $5+ on one day. But now I'm making ~$1.5/day...

The site: http://edu.ipotal.com.mx/

Ugly domain. I registered it before knowing what I did.

Anyway, it's in spanish, but you can see AdSense placement in these pages:

http://edu.iportal.com.mx/dir/09PPR0799M/colegiovandyck/
http://edu.iportal.com.mx/edu/salud/anorexia-bulimia/

The site has over 200K pages in the form /dir/CODE/name

It's a directory of schools in my country, so each CODE belongs to one school.

Could you share some tips I could try to increase my earnings?

Thanks in advance!

You should definitely be making more than $50 a month if you are receiving 10K visitors. At a first glance I would suggest changing the ad link color to match your link colors in your pages to match your site.

The second thing that I would suggest is to put Google Adsense ads on all of your pages. I noticed quite a few that didn't have ads.

Thirdly you should be using the large box ad (336x280) in most of the places that you do show ads. You should have ads amongst your content, not just at the top.

Try these few things and you'll probably find that your revenue will increase. The one factor that you don't have real control over is the type of ads shown which might be another reason you are receiving such low revenue.
