If so, how many and what types of forums. I am not sure if you are allowed to post the url or name so just say what type you belong to.

I belong to a few parenting forums, a few wahm forums, digital photography forums, a sports forum ( not because I like sports because I dont) and now this forum!

Actually this is the first forum I have ever actively participated in.

Plain and simple... I just don't make the time I should to get more involved.

But, when I came to this forum, I could instantly see the immediate and long term benefit... so I now make the time!

Joel is one of those individuals that has a knack for teaching others... and since he's been so successful with AdSense... I figure he's the guy to teach me.

But, what I've actually found in this forum is a large number of people who are successful who are willing to guide us... I love that!

I'm a member of many, many forums, not always as 'Eladesor', I'm some times known as 'Garreg' or 'Admin' (as I also operate some as well) and a couple of other 'Aliases' :) .

Some forums are 'private' (or paid access ones like Nicheology). The biggest problem is having time to read and keep up with everything, but it's worth it, I've made many good friends and gained lots from others knowledge / experience.

I like vBulletin forum software (as used here)...... not that there aren't other good ones ;) Just that I've had more experience with this one.

i love phpbb and have such a great understanding of the code as one would have to with the dozens of mods i have on my site.
I have also modifed my forum to use SEO tools that allow it to be at the top of the page during searches.
If you have phpbb and need help with SEO, ill help ya out.

I belong to many Internet Marketing forums. I don't usually post to them anymore because of time restraints. I would estimate somewhere between 25-30 forums.

When I have spare time I go read new topics of interest. I scan then stop to really read or study only if I see something new. :)

I actually have narrowed my primary use of forums down to three and I am considering replacing one of them with this forum.

I belong to a few forums...a moderator on the only SEO board I participate in, post on two or three small business forums as well. I'm active in a (purposefully) very small and private group for business women online. I also monitor several groups and forums, but like others, time constraints kick in so I only scan those unless a very compelling topic comes up.

I guess I am more active here because it's different and AdSense is a topic I am very interested in right now. (Plus Joel's ebook helped me a lot. So, figured his forum wouldn't be half bad either. :D )

Oh god too many forums !! that's my problem I spend too much time reading on forums and not enough maximising my website and earning potential ! I generally have a different username for most them. They would be wahm forums and parenting and also a couple of webby type ones. I have been on one particular one since 1998 and have made some great friends there.
