I was wondering if anybody has applied any statistical analysis to the eCPM and CTR results in their reports.
Specifically I am interested in significance testing on new eCPM/CTR as compared to old, after revising your site, or choosing a different ad sense unit/color/etc.
Has anybody got a tool like this? Or applied a statistics tool (from another field) to this question.

I don't do any statistical analysis...
Instead, I simply do a split test between two or three versions of the same page (only a single change between versions). After about 200 clicks, if one is obviously winning, I go with that one. If not, I let it run longer until one pulls ahead enough to convince me it's a winner.
I'll admit, my definition of "statistically significant" is highly subjective, but it get results and I don't have to worry that about my equations being off. ;)

Excel basic will complete a variety of statistical calculations, actually quite a few, but it's up to you to analyse and interpret them. Excel macros has even more stats functions.

Thanks. Yep I know.
Are you currently using Excel to do this? If so, is it worth the effort?
