Anyone had problems with Adsense Tracker?

I just had a hosting account suspended for supposedly using too many server resources. My host thinks the problem is Adsense Tracker- they claim it is calling mysql and not closing the connection nicely when it's done.

This is the tracker sold at AdsenseTracker.com- I think there are other ones with the same name.

Has anyone heard of problems like that with this one? The odd thing is that I installed it at least 6 months ago, so why would it suddenly be a problem now? No, I haven't had a recent surge of traffic- in fact, my traffic is way down from July's levels. And I'm sure there are others using these trackers who get way more traffic than I do.

Is there a problem with this script, or is this host barking up the wrong tree?

That explaination from your host doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me unless you were getting millions of hits per day.

Unless there is a security problem with the tracker, but i doubt that.

I would look for a new host. :)

Normally php+mysql cleans up nicely after themselves :)

So I agree with Pat, look for a new host ;)
