Konterra & Wordpress - Help

First, let me say that I am definetley a "newbie" so if my questions are elementary please bear with me.

1) I understand that I cannot use adsense on the free wordpress blogs, Does the same thing apply for Konterra?

2) I need to learn the basics of plug-ins - can someone direct me to a tutorial site

1) I don't have a solid yes or no answer for this but at a hunch I would guess that the same would apply.

2) Can plug-ins be used at Wordpress.com? I don't know. I can't imagine anything being able to be uploaded. Just content (images and words) inserted and submitted. But again I don't speak from experience.

With Wordpress installed on your own site (from wordpress.org) you can very easily install plug-ins. Sometimes it's as simple as finding the one you want, uploading it, logging into your Wordpress Admin and then activating it.

Other times you may have to hack in a bit of code.

Installing templates is very easy too.
