Hi all,
i just completely redesigned my website by following joel adsense secret books. Kindly review, criticise, feedback and comments just about anything that you should think right.
URL: http://www.iamfreelancer.com
I was thinking now that should i remove adsense in my landing page (index.html). Because my intention is to get members and i do not want them to leave my web as soon as they click on the adsense on this page. Should i remove?
Current adsens earning is approx $2-3 daily... trippled after applying joel technique and tips..
Thanks and wishing everyone a success!
warm regards,

Hi Elvin,
I had a look at your site. I was a little concerned by how your text did not wrap under your AdSense block.
I hope you don't mind, but I copied your site and made a few adjustments so you could see another way to incorporate the AdSense. In my sample, I don't try to make your text wrap... I just put it under the AdSense. Also, I added a 160x600 AdSense block under your left hand side navigation.
You can view my sample here:

But, Elvin, please understand this is only a sample. Especially the 160x600 AdSense block on the left. I did not have it generated straight from Google... I just used your 336x280 code and modified the sizes...
This is just one suggestion...
Hope it helps!

Thanks Mark,
I agree with you on the text wrap things coz i'm having complains now that its hards to read when user screen are set to 800x600 res. I follow you solely on this.
On the left side 160 adds... will that be too much adds in 1 page? just a though..... will it bring down the pay rate of ads?
thanks for the constructive opinion and advice..
Wishing you a success!

Well, my guess is that the 160x600 on the left will actually be a positive thing for you.
It blends nicely and appears to be navigational in nature.
It's different for different sites... but two (or 3) AdSense blocks can increase the clicks because they are in different locations.
I would recommend at least a two week test to get a feel for what the results may be.
Great luck to you...

Hi Mark,
I think you are right, i'll give it a trail for 1 months and track it with a adsense channel and see how it goes.
actually all the clickable links in my website are purposely set to blue only for easy blending as recommended by joel in his book.
Thanks again for the great help..
Wishing you a success!
