I am not sure of the motivation for this product other than having your own versus Adsense Desktop, which I bought based on your recommendation.

Here is what I see as problem areas for improvement:

Program sluggish at times
Unable to gather Search data
Graphical data options needs work compared to AD
Popup does not stay open when mouse is over icon in taskbar
Unable to sort data by specific field
No selection for Yesterday's earnings
Date formats seems to change to Euro style when selecting date DD/MM/YY

Not bad for first release and it is free. :eek:

I wanted to develop something that I could give away for free to my members.. and really, whoever wants a program to track their stats. We'll get these bugs worked out and increase the number of features. And you are right.. you can't beat the price!

I also have XP Pro SP2 and did not get any errors on install.

Is this program based on .NET Framewrok platform? If so it may need to be installed?

Make sure you have all your SP's and updates

Well, Joel...seeing as how there's not a great solution on the market (Adsense Desktop and Adsense Log have a long way to go...and support is between sluggish and non-existent at this point), I would certainly vote for you to take this thing to the next level. I would be more than willing to pay $50 for something that would do everything I need. Especially seeing as how I've paid more for things that DON'T...

It's primitive now, for sure. Channels aren't working for me. I want to be able to set my own interval. I either want great use of space or a resizable window. The date thing is a little futzy (the whole US/Euro thing). I can't seem to turn off all the unnecessary info on the popup...even though I have selected it to go away. It exits from display mode every time it doesn't know what to do and reports an error. The chart is too small for even the text descriptions to display at full resolution...not helpful.

And if not you...SOMEBODY needs to make a killer app along these lines. Too many of us are in real need of something with great support. I know that's not what you intended for this. I'm just screaming out at the universe, looking for someone to hear me.

Well, I do have to say that it's better than anything else out there that I've seen for free.

And I'm a big believer in free (that's how I'm making most of my money online).

But you'll always feel the need to support it...and trying to keep it free...well, that's where it gets hard.

It's good to have something decent to recommend to friends who can't afford a full commercial solution yet.

Up til now, I've only been able to recommend SysSense (http://www.singerscreations.com/AboutSysSense.asp), which is still a nice little app for those who only want to avoid the manual log-in, but want to stay in touch. But this is a nice step up.

some feedback...

i have about 50 channels and they all show up with parsing errors for the names. instead of showing me the URL, they show 'www.<span style=' for all those channel URLs...

Get Channels work fine. I did a Select All. Checked Use Filter For Channel. Then Download Data. display shows everything correct except for Channel name...

one major missing feature for me: Earnings Per Click...

also, clicking on AdSense Journal crashes out of app...

Works fine for me. I have Win XP PRo with SP2 and all the latest updates from Microsoft.

Oh i forgot to mention i have installed .NEt application from the Microsoft updates.

How does this compare with Adsense Desktop - the program you were recommending a few months back? I bought this, and had horrendous installation issues. And the support from them could have been a lot better.

That apart, does your program have the same functionality or less/more?

Great program and professionally presented, too.

Everything installed just fine (Win 2K).

Big bug is the EUR / US date thing mentioned earlier in this thread. I've tried both entering it manually, and using the calendar selector. Same problem.

E.g I wanted the date range from 1st Sep to 16th Sep 2005..

EUR date format: 01/09/2005 to 16/09/2005
US date format: 09/01/2005 to 09/16/2005

If I click on the calendar date, for the start period, it displays as 01/09/2005 (EUR format).

If I move the focus away from the start box, it interprets it in US format (9th January).

I hope this describes the problem well enough.

Just found another bug in the graphics. I can select any of the first 3 OK, but when I try to access graphs for either Page eCPM or Earnings, the software just shuts down completely.

Hey Joel,

The program installed correctly, and it looks great, but I am getting an invalid username and password error when trying to login.

But.. Here is the kicker... Even though I am getting the error, the application has still logged in and I get my stats when I roll over the icon in my tool bar. :eek:

Thanks for developing the tool. I am going to find it very useful in tracking my adsense ads.

This program has functionality similar to AdSense Desktop. I hope to add more features in the future.

NOTE! If you are having login issues, please make sure you are logging in with your Google AdSense login and password, NOT your AdsenseChat login and password!

I hope to have an updated version today that fixes some of the bugs...

GREAT Program! Have been debating whether or not $37 (adsense desktop cost) was the determining factor of my being too lazy to go log in to Google each time I wanted to check my stats... (which I do like 3x/day)

Your solution fixed that problem for me... Free = me lazy.

Great program!

Still haven't figured out how to get the channels... Clicked the button, but nothing's coming up. Read the instructions, and think I'm doing it right. I don't know if it's operator error or program error.

The large graph feature is nice! Perhaps a print button could be added to the large graph page?

One usability preference...

When I go to the graph of a date range, there's nowhere for me to go "back" to where I was, I have to click the options on the left. Is there a way to add a "back button" of sorts from the graph?

anyone have any tips for getting channels to show up?

All-in all, excellent Beta version of this program!

UPDATE: We are working on fixing the bugs and including more features. I plan on having something new to show next week, but no promises. My developer is very busy right now. When all is said and done, it should be pretty darned cool....

My click-through rates are about 11%
And the amount I get per click is about $1

My site gets about 1,000 unique visitors.
