Hi everybody,

I've got 2 new sites. Both are about a month old. One is getting some traffic and some decent clicks on the adsense.

This site, www.ParkerComputerGuy.com, is getting more traffic but no clicks. Zip, zero, nada.

I'm working on getting more traffic but I'm open to any suggestions. Be brutal, be kind, I don't mind, I just want to figure out what's wrong.

Thanks!

hey rad

my first impression: it looks like there are ads all over the place. there is a major difference between an informative site that has ads, and a site that has ads with some info.

personally, i probably wouldnt go much past the first page. whats my motivation to click on the ads? I'm more apt to click on the back button and search again.

the menu on the right, i would suggest with going with white text (easier on the eyes)

i might suggest putting your rectangle adsense box to the right, and have your site info ("I've been working in computers for quite some time and have assembled many useful computer links and computer tips. As I find new computer tips and computer resources I'll share those in this site. For this website I've also assembled some great articles on spyware removal and PC repair.") to the left. Then your b-dogg could go underneath the rectangle.

You go right from hey, we're here for the average guy right into reasons to leave your site. this makes it seem like you dont really have the info, but these other sites do. Which from a publishing standpoint is fine, from a visitors perspective, perhaps not so much.

Consider also having fewer ads on the page. You have about 5 or so ad sections on your page. to me, it screams out i'm here to make money off your visit, and no, dont have much in the way of my own content to offer you.

Which of course, is not the case (you do have lots of info on your site).

Perception is reality, and that was my perception when i jumped on.

again, my 2 cents, so take it as you see fit!

Thanks for looking at the site. It was a huge help to have someone objective look at the site. I've got major plans to re-do the site. There goes my week-end!
