"Affective immediately, all affiliate promotions for the Adsense-Secrets program from Joel Comm across Weblog Empire blogs has ceased.

We apologise to our readers and clients over this matter. In correspondense to Mr Comm in regards to his relationship to spam blog promoter Rick Butts (blog and ping, blogbunner and similar products), Mr Comm replied by email that “Rick seems to be a genuinely good guy… I don’t know much about his software.” however given the promotion here of a new offering from Mr Comm, we believe that the response was inaccurate.

We in no way wish ill feeling towards Mr Comm, indeed his book is a good read, nor are we accusing Mr Comm of pursing the activities of Rick Butts, indeed in our experience and understanding Mr Comm is an honest internet marketer with legitimate sites and advertising. However his association and business dealings with Rick Butts for profit leave us with no alternative but to withdraw all mention or promotion of his products. Any previous mentions of his forums or books on older posts will also be removed across the entire network.

Joel Comm’s relationship with other bloggers promoting his product (including people like Chris Pirillo) is a matter between Mr Comm and them. "

Hey,
What's up? I do not understand what is going on...

Basically, it means this one site is not going to promote my ebook any more because I did an interview with Rick Butts. I don't know much about Rick except that he was interested in my ebook and I gladly did a teleseminar with him. Apparantly, his reputation in the blogging community is not all that great due to some of the software he creates. Since I am not really all that familiar with it, other than the offer he made to my users, I don't know what all the hassle is about.

Sounds like someone is throwing the baby out with the bathwater. It is certainly their choice to do so.

Other than that, it's business as usual :-)

Joel

It's also not a biggy because Joel has many other ways of promoting adsense-secrets.com - What adsense member doesnt know about THAT ebook?

Anyway... I saw it in an RSS feed and thought i'd come over to adsense chat and post it.

What can you say? There are some idiots out there. Joel is not responsible for Rick's products or actions.

If they have a problem with Rick's stuff, how about NOT promoting that?

How far does this go? I guess they should stop promoting anyone who has promoted Joel, since Joel did something with Rick. Pretty soon they won't have anything left to promote.

This is like someone saying "I found out Joel ate a burger the other day, and I'm a vegetarian, so I'm not promoting his book any more."

People have their choices, and in a way the site/company could just be trying to save themselves from anything related to spam. It is afterall the biggest problem on the internet next to computer viruses [mainly with Microsoft] but anyway, just because they are discontinuing association with Joel Comm doesn't mean they're a bad company.

It's unfortunate for Joel, or maybe no but it's not biggy.

As I said above, Im sure Joel has countless promoters, but lost one, oh well.
