Default construction news sites

This is still very much a work in progress, but while there the design and coding contractors are on the job, now is an ideal time to make improvements.

We have about 100 domains registered operating on one server, (adsense is not the only thing here, so some of the SEO criteria are less vital), you could look at http://www.charlotteconstructionnews.com or http://maineconstructionnews.com for samples.

One obvious problem is that adsense appears to be having some trouble delivering relevant ads: unless, of course, google really thinks that everyone in the construction industry is obsessed with passwords. I have asked our designers to see if they can incorporate section targetting in the coding, and requested google to look into it as well.

Suggestions for improvements of course are most welcome.

Question laugh or cry

I've been a big part of the 'critique my site' for some time yet, laugh or cry I wept with tears when I clicked on the site. Sadly I have nothing to offer as to the 'Password' problem, every time I go to the site it's filled with 'password' ads. The only think I can think of is keyword density, I'd be tempted to remove any reference to 'client' or 'report' and litter (day one say more than 10%) of your target keyword. Try this as in your current situation you have nothing to lose. Let us know how you get on as I feel you could be looking at a rags to riches story.

Thanks for your insights. A combination of using the adsense section targetting function and seeded keyword-relevant text seems to be doing the trick. Since I made the revisions last night, the sites are starting to come on line with much more relevant advertising.

Still much more work to do, though. This is definitely not a get rich quick scheme!
